Ceke Port sees 33% increase in import and export cargo
Ceke Port in Ejine Banner, Alshaa League, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, handled 30.10 million metric tons of import and export cargo in the first three quarters of this year, up 33 percent year-on-year.
The port has deployed automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and non-intrusive inspection equipment to streamline cross-border logistics. A one-way cross-border transport trip now takes just one hour, while vehicle inspections can be completed in as little as 90 seconds, significantly improving efficiency over traditional manual checks.
As of Oct 21, the port had recorded more than 470,000 inbound and outbound passenger trips, up 24 percent year-on-year, and over 414,000 vehicle movements, an increase of 25 percent compared to the same period in 2025.
