The 2026 Russian Film Festival Inner Mongolia Station took place in Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Aug 29-30, fostering cultural exchange and China-Russia people-to-people ties.

Organized by the Inner Mongolia Film Administration, the festival featured screenings, forums, and post-screening discussions. Russian director Igor Voloshin also joined audiences for an on-site exchange.

Ten Russian films, including Cheburashka 2, The Pilot, and August, were screened at five cinemas across Hohhot. Screenings spanned genres from history and family to animation, and all were free to the public.

The festival marked the 30th anniversary of the China-Russia strategic partnership of coordination and the 25th anniversary of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation. It followed a Chinese film festival held in Russia in June, further strengthening two-way cultural and cinematic exchanges.
