Arxan's autumn colors arrive earlier this year
Autumn will arrive seven to 10 days earlier than usual this year in Arxan, a picturesque spot nestled in the Greater Hinggan Mountains of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to meteorological data.
The best time to enjoy the area's autumn scenery runs from September through early October.
Arxan's fall unfolds in three distinct stages. In early September, the landscape transitions softly from green to gold, as birch, larch, and pine forests display a colorful palette perfect for hiking and photography.
By mid-to-late September, Arxan reaches its autumn peak, with forests turning vibrant shades of gold, red, and orange. The colorful landscape around Tianchi Lake and its valleys offers some of the season's most spectacular views.
In early October, the scenery grows quieter and more serene, making it an ideal time for a relaxing getaway and a soak in Arxan's natural hot springs.
