Qiqian township in Ergune, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, was connected to the State Grid on June 26, marking full coverage across all administrative townships in the region.

The newly built 10-kilovolt Qiqian power line, stretching 41.16 kilometers from the Bailudao 35-kV substation to Qiqian township, has a total capacity of 750 kilovolt-amperes and began operation after more than 200 days of construction.

Located deep in the Greater Hinggan Mountains along the China-Russia border, the township had previously relied on a hybrid wind-and-solar power system, in which electricity supply was often affected by weather conditions and voltage fluctuations.

With access to the State Grid power, residents and border outposts now enjoy a stable and reliable electricity supply, providing stronger support for infrastructure development, improved public services, and better living conditions.
