A joint media tour featuring Chinese and Mongolian journalists was launched in Ereenhot, a city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on May 11, highlighting regional cooperation and high-level opening-up between the two neighboring countries.

The event, themed on common development through opening-up and cooperation, will run through May 16.

More than 40 journalists from leading Mongolian media outlets, such as Montsame News Agency and Mongolian National Public Radio and Television, as well as major news websites such as Zuv.mn and News.mn, joined reporters from Chinese media organizations, including Guangming Daily and People's Daily Overseas Edition.

During the tour, the media delegation will visit the China (Inner Mongolia) Pilot Free Trade Zone Ereenhot Area, local cultural tourism sites, and leading agricultural enterprises.

Journalists will conduct on-site interviews to learn about Ereenhot's development into a key gateway for China's northward opening-up, including progress in smart port upgrades, customs clearance facilitation, and cross-border trade.

The delegation will also travel to Beijing and other parts of Inner Mongolia to report on emerging industries and innovation projects, including robotics, artificial intelligence, green energy, modern agriculture, and international logistics.

The annual China-Mongolia joint media interview program has become an important platform for media cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, helping deepen mutual understanding and practical collaboration.
