Inner Mongolia welcomes 17.76 million visitors during May Day holiday

North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region saw strong tourism growth during the May Day holiday from May 1 to 5, receiving 17.76 million domestic visits, up 6.99 percent year-on-year.
Total tourism spending hit 12.45 billion yuan ($1.83 billion), up 5.27 percent compared to the same period last year.

Over those five days, Inner Mongolia rolled out immersive, interactive, and experience-driven tourism programs, while improving tourism services and enriching cultural offerings. Grassland tours, cultural events, and integrated tourism activities attracted large numbers of visitors and helped transform tourist traffic into sustained consumption growth.
