The 2026 Hulunbuir spring tourism season kicked off on April 26 in Zalantun, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, as blooming azaleas ushered in a vibrant lineup of cultural and tourism activities.
Held at the Yingshanhong Leisure Tourism Area, the festival invites visitors to explore sweeping flower-covered hills and immerse themselves in the region's spring scenery.
Centered on Hinggan azaleas, the event promotes a "tourism+" model, combining flower viewing with photography, sports, cultural performances, local cuisine, and educational programs.

Visitors can also enjoy themed parades, folk performances, interactive photo installations, and bustling food markets, creating a lively tourism and consumption experience.
A major highlight is the scenic area's 110,000-square-meter azalea bloom, now a popular destination for spring outings. The event features seven themed series and 21 activities, along with curated travel routes and promotional offers designed to boost tourism and enhance the overall visitor experience.
