A policy promotion conference for the China-Mongolia Ereenhot–Zamyn-Uud Economic Cooperation Zone was held in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, on April 16, aiming to strengthen ties with the Yangtze River Delta region.

The event focused on key sectors, including international trade, logistics, import-export processing, cross-border tourism, and related services. Officials presented the zone's development plans, policy incentives, geographical advantages, and investment opportunities, seeking to expand cooperation and unlock new growth potential.

Approved by China's State Council, it ranks as the country's third cross-border economic cooperation zone. This month, the China (Inner Mongolia) Pilot Free Trade Zone was also approved, with the cooperation zone serving as a core component of its Ereenhot area.

It is positioned as a high-level opening-up platform along China's border regions, a key node of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor, and a model for bilateral cooperation.

At the Suzhou event, representatives from both China and Mongolia jointly promoted the zone, highlighting its policy strengths and development potential. Several participating companies expressed strong interest in investing, with plans for further engagement and on-site visits.
