Spatial layout

The Inner Mongolia FTZ covers a total area of 119.74 square kilometers, consisting of three functional zones in its Hohhot, Manzhouli, and Ereenhot cities.

· Hohhot area: Focuses on strategic emerging industries such as new energy, new materials, biomedicine, and next-generation information technology, as well as green agricultural and livestock processing, and dairy industries. It also promotes modern services, including commerce and logistics, the digital economy, scientific and technological services, exhibitions, and cultural tourism. It will be developed into a core hub in China's efforts to open up its northern regions and an innovation cluster for high-quality industrial development.

· Manzhouli area: Focuses on import resource processing, cross-border tourism, cross-border finance, and port services. It serves as an important gateway to Northeast Asia and Europe and a key platform for China–Russia–Mongolia cooperation.

· Ereenhot area: Focuses on international trade, logistics, cross-border tourism, and international healthcare services, positioning itself as a key node of the China–Mongolia–Russia Economic Corridor and a model zone for neighboring-country cooperation.
