Wang Zhen advocates upgrading Inner Mongolia's regional advantage industries

Wang Zhen, a deputy to the National People's Congress and chairwoman of Erdos Group, said, "The 2026 Government Work Report emphasizes the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation. I find this highly inspiring".
Through field visits and research, Wang has noted that Inner Mongolia's modern industrial system of renewable energy, modern agriculture and animal husbandry, artificial intelligence, and biomanufacturing is thriving.
The region's key advantage industries possess solid industrial foundations, significant cluster scale, and strong market competitiveness, with Wang emphasizing the need to focus on technological innovation within these established regional industry chains.
"Leading enterprises must take responsibility for driving industry innovation," she said, highlighting Erdos Group's concrete initiatives, from upgrading its cashmere apparel and power-metallurgy industry chains to advancing renewable energy, autonomous heavy trucks, and synthetic biology.
Wang said companies should utilize their strengths to develop new quality productive forces and stimulate growth through integrated innovation across technology, talent, scenarios, and branding.
Wang has affirmed that, under favorable national and regional policies, Erdos Group will continue to promote the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation, strengthen the development of new quality productive forces, and contribute to the modernization of Inner Mongolia's industrial system and to the growth of its sectors.
