Ice floes bloom like flowers on Inner Mongolia section of Yellow River
As of 9 am on Dec 1, ice floes have been observed at 38 of 52 hydrological monitoring sections along the Yellow River in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The Baotou stretch has reported ice floes across the entire section, with a density ranging from 30 percent to 60 percent. The drifting ice covers the river surface like blooming frost flowers, signaling the arrival of the winter freeze-up period.
