The Baotou–Yinchuan High-speed Railway, a key corridor linking Baotou city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region and Yinchuan in Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region, passed dynamic acceptance for its Baotou–Huinong section on Nov 17, meeting initial inspection conditions and entering its final stage before opening, which is expected by the end of the year.

Dynamic acceptance is a crucial step in evaluating the quality of a high-speed railway project. Through joint testing, inspections, and trial operations, the process verifies the performance of tracks, bridges, tunnels, and the railway's electrification and signaling systems under actual train-running conditions.

It also examines train operations, passenger services, and emergency response capabilities, ensuring the line is ready for safe and stable service.

As part of the Beijing–Lanzhou corridor in China's national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network, the 519-km Baotou–Yinchuan HSR will cut travel time between the regions from six hours to under three.

Once fully operational, the line will significantly enhance connectivity between Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, and North China, supporting the development of the western region and boosting coordinated economic and social growth.
