By the end of July, North China's Inner Mongolia had resumed work on 3,334 major projects this year, achieving a 99 percent resumption rate.

The region had planned to implement 3,352 major projects in 2025, with a total investment of 3.4 trillion yuan (474.20 billion) and a target of 1 trillion yuan in annual construction investment.

Since the start of the year, the Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission, together with industry regulators, approval authorities, and resource allocation departments, has strengthened its three-tier project planning system. In February, the Implementation Plan for Major Project Planning in Inner Mongolia was issued, followed by tailored work plans from 22 departments and 12 leagues and cities, detailing tasks, quantifying targets, and assigning responsibilities, creating a "1+N" policy framework.

The region has also launched a new round of planning for its major projects during the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-30), aiming to secure more projects and investment. A total of 21,000 major projects have been identified for the period, with a planned total investment of 17.57 trillion yuan.
