The Sixth China Aluminum Industry High-Quality Development Conference was held in Huuliin Gol, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Aug 7, bringing together more than 200 industry leaders, experts, and entrepreneurs to discuss the future of the aluminum sector and chart a path toward high-quality growth.

The conference yielded fruitful results, with seven major projects signed, including a 600,000-metric-ton new prebaked anode plant, a 100,000-ton high-end aluminum foil facility, automotive PACK batteries, a comprehensive logistics park, and a recycled aluminum smelting and alloy ingot project. The total investment amounts to 8.3 billion yuan, covering multiple key areas such as deep processing of aluminum products.

Huuliin Gol, rich in coal resources, is shifting its aluminum industry from a traditional "coal-power-aluminum" model to a modern "green-power-aluminum" model. As one of Inner Mongolia's designated hubs for a 100-billion-yuan green low-carbon aluminum materials cluster and an integrated energy demonstration zone, the newly confirmed projects are expected to inject strong momentum into the city's industrial transformation and upgrading.

The conference was hosted by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and organized by the China Nonferrous Metals Technology and Exchange Center together with the Huuliin Gol High-Tech Aluminum-Based New Materials Industry Association.
