The Ereenhot Border Inspection Station in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has handled over 1 million inbound and outbound travelers this year as of May 18, marking a 25.9 percent increase year-on-year.
The station recorded a peak of 13,071 travelers in a single day, with more than 1,300 vehicles passing through daily.
Ereenhot is China's most comprehensive land port to Mongolia, and has become a vital corridor for China-Mongolia economic exchanges and a preferred hub for cross-border travelers. Its strategic location, efficient transportation infrastructure, and comfortable clearance environment have contributed to its growing prominence.

This year has seen a surge in cross-border tourism and trade between China and Mongolia, leading to a sharp increase in passenger, vehicle, and cargo flows through the station.
To meet growing demand, the station has implemented innovative service models. These include opening dedicated channels for tour groups and offering streamlined clearance services such as categorized processing and advanced inspection.
