According to the State Grid Inner Mongolia Eastern Electric Power Co, the trade volume of green electricity transmitted from North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region to the capital, Beijing, via ultra-high-voltage (UHV) power grids has already surpassed 1 billion kilowatt-hours this year.

This is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of nearly 300,000 households and almost twice the total green power trade volume between Beijing and Inner Mongolia for the entirety of 2024.

In recent years, Inner Mongolia has consistently expanded its outbound electricity transportation, with eight UHV lines connecting to major regions such as Shandong, Tianjin, Shanxi, and Jiangsu. This has established a robust north-south electricity transmission channel, facilitating large-scale green energy integration into China's national power market.

In 2024 alone, Inner Mongolia transmitted 170.6 billion kWh of electricity.
