The "Ordos Experience" was celebrated as a model at the 5th International Forum on Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (FBAS 2025), which was recently held in Beijing. The event focused on advancing global cooperation in the use of big data to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As a national innovation demonstration zone for implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, Ordos has pioneered integrated approaches to tackling desertification, conserving water resources, promoting clean coal use, advancing zero-carbon energy, and applying carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies. Its initiatives emphasize ecological restoration, efficient resource use, high-quality energy development, innovation-driven growth, and balanced urban-rural development.

By consolidating innovation resources and advancing institutional reforms, Ordos has developed replicable and scalable solutions that provide valuable insight into green development in desert regions and practical pathways for achieving the 2030 Agenda.
