A total of 200,000 saplings of larch and spruce were exported from Hinggan League in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region to Mongolia on April 24.

They will be used for spring afforestation and greening projects in Mongolia's capital city of Ulaanbaatar and Dornod Province.

This collaboration has led to the signing of a new contract with the Mongolian side for the purchase of an additional 300,000 saplings, marking the launch of a sales model for export orders of saplings.

"Adhering to the principle of production based on sales, we have cultivated saplings suitable to Mongolian soil, climate, and afforestation techniques," said Ai Jian, deputy director of the Wuchagou forestry bureau.

"By providing products as needed, we aim to achieve a win-win situation for both sapling sales and the ecological development of Mongolia," Ai added.

Hinggan League has been exporting saplings to Mongolia since 2014 and has already exported nearly 400,000 saplings to the country.

During this 11-year period, the two sides have engaged in friendly exchanges in various areas, including sapling exports, planting, and pest control.

These exchanges have not only facilitated ecological cooperation between China and Mongolia but have also significantly contributed to the realization of Mongolia's "Billion Tree Planting" initiative, helping strengthen the friendship between the two nations.
