Nine key projects in the Alshaa League – located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – started construction on Sept 19, with a total investment of 46.78 billion yuan ($6.41 billion), of which 20.18 billion yuan will be invested in the first phase.

The projects cover a wide range of fields – including fluorine chemicals, coal chemicals, fine chemicals, new energy and new materials.

The ventures are expected to have great significance in further optimizing the industrial structure, promoting industrial upgrading, expanding the economic aggregate and improving the general development quality of Alshaa.

"During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), we have laid out approximately 20 projects," said Hu Fengshan, executive general manager of the Inner Mongolia Qinghua Group.

"With the operation of these projects, the Qinghua Group's output value can reach 22 billion yuan by the end of 2025, with an annual increase in new profits of around 400 million yuan, achieving rapid development," Hu added.

The groundbreaking of the projects is said to reflect the commitment of the Alshaa League to foster economic growth, create employment opportunities and drive regional development forward.

It is expected that their completion will contribute to the overall development of the region, attract more investment and stimulate further economic progress.
