Video: Alshaa League reports tourism revenue of 116m yuan

During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday (June 22-24), the cultural and tourism market of Alshaa League in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region was booming, according to statistics released by its culture, tourism, radio and television bureau.

The league received 186,900 domestic visits, an increase of 78.51 percent over the same period last year, to recover to the same level as 2019.

Domestic tourism revenue hit 116 million yuan ($16 million), an increase of 145.85 percent year-on-year.

Meanwhile, the sixth Caravan Conference was held on June 21 at the Alshaa Dream Desert Park. Off-road enthusiasts from all over the world gathered to begin this unique holiday journey.

From June 21 to 24, the seventh International Business School Desert Friendship Competition was held in the deserts of Ulan Buh and Alshaa, providing team members with an exciting new experience as they spent four days hiking along the dunes and desert flats and camping outdoors.

Alshaa League is located on the west side of Inner Mongolia. With its unique desert scenery, it has become a popular tourist destination in recent years.

The annual Caravan Festival, which blazes a hot new trail in China's off-road culture, is composed of over 300 horse-raising and car club organizations from all of the provinces and cities in China. The first edition was held in 2015 and in recent years, it has continued to expand and grow. The festival has become a major event among off-road enthusiasts, enabling fans to exchange ideas and enjoy a taste of adventure.
