Alshaa set to be a leader in global cashmere industry

Alshaa League, located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has been dedicated to breeding high-quality cashmere goats by implementing standardized breeding throughout their life cycle.

The Alshaa cashmere goat, belonging to the esteemed Inner Mongolian cashmere goat family, holds a prominent position as one of the three major brands. Renowned for its exceptional qualities, this breed stands out with the highest standards in terms of fineness, brightness, and whiteness, not just within the region but on a global scale.

Jiali Cashmere Wool Co, located in Alshaa Left Banner, is constructing a temperature and humidity-controlled combing workshop designed to reduce fiber damage during the combing process to less than 8 percent, which is down from 15 percent. This new workshop is expected to increase production capacity by 50 percent.

In Bayankhot Alshaa League, a comprehensive research and breeding program for the Alshaa cashmere goat is currently being implemented through a collaborative partnership. This notable alliance comprises LV Group, Italy's National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development, Alshaa Livestock Research Institute, Inner Mongolia Academy of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Sciences, and Jiali Cashmere Wool Co.

Furthermore, the Alshaa Mingyuan Cashmere Goat Seed Industry Co has been established to enhance the breeding and protection of the Alshaa cashmere goat and to maintain its elite status in the global cashmere industry. The project is expected to provide a new model for the sustainable development of China's cashmere industry.
