Competitors are streaming in from all around the world to take part in the 4th China-Ejine international Euphratica Forest Cycling Race – being staged in Ejine Banner, Alshaa League in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Oct 15-16, according to local officials.

They told a press conference held on Sept 17 that more than 1,000 riders from home and abroad will pedal for victory during the two-day event.

Officials said the event has been improved in terms of its competition system and event services, aiming to create a better experience for the competitors and to boost Ejine's own brand.

They added that the event was expanded to include 1,000 participants in a total of four groups, with ages ranging from 18-65 years old. The results from the competition will determine the individual scores of each group and decide the final ranking.

Meanwhile, according to the news conference, the 2019 Ejine Banner International Marathon will also start on Oct 20. It will feature three races: a marathon, half marathon and a mini marathon.
