Baogang United Steel has secured a procurement order for L555M high-grade pipeline steel for a key water supply project in western China and the country's first large-scale demonstration of L555M in water supply engineering, breaking the long-standing industry convention that such high-end pipeline steel is used only for oil and gas transportation.

A major Chinese central enterprise leads the project, with a long track record of constructing and operating key national and regional infrastructure and ecological water conservancy projects. Baogang United Steel won the bid through its comprehensive capabilities across R&D, manufacturing, supply assurance, and after-sales services.

Once completed, the project will help ease the uneven distribution of regional water resources, boost urban and rural water supply security, and improve the regional aquatic environment. It will also provide solid water conservancy infrastructure support for local rural vitalization, industrial upgrading, and coordinated regional development.

The pipeline steel has already entered mass production, with Baogang carrying out production and delivery to ensure smooth project progress. It will strategically cooperate with major central engineering enterprises and enhance the competitiveness of its high-end products and professional services.
