Naadam Festival kicks off in Baotou
The 36th Naadam Festival in Baotou's Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner kicked off on July 25 and will run until Aug 24.

The festival features five highlights, including the inheritance of grassland intangible cultural heritage, outcomes of the east-west cooperation between Inner Mongolia autonomous region and Guangdong province, and the development of rare earth and new energy sci-tech industries, showcasing the fresh look and appeal of Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner in the new era.
The series of events will cover the peak summer tourism period. Visitors can enjoy a one-stop experience of competitions, performances, delicacies, folk customs, and amusement activities.

Li Yang, a representative of Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner, said, "The banner will host 57 featured events to showcase grassland folk arts, natural scenery, and local customs, while fully demonstrating the banner's high-quality development.”
