Baotou beat Hohhot 1-0 at home in the eighth round of the Mengniu 2026 Inner Mongolia Football Super League on July 4.

This marked the first encounter between the two soccer sides in the Super League. Over the first seven rounds, Baotou claimed four wins, one draw, and two losses, tallying 13 points to rank third. Hohhot recorded two wins, two draws, and three losses with eight points, sitting seventh.

From the opening whistle, both sides launched fierce attacks. But neither team converted their chances into goals and the first half ended at 0-0.

In the second half, Dan Xingyu scored a long-range strike from outside the penalty area to put Baotou ahead 1-0.

The scoreline held until full time, allowing Baotou to extend its perfect winning record at home.
