Baotou Home Expo witnesses upgrading of consumption needs
The fourth Baotou Home Expo, which ran from March 27 to 29, brought together 57 leading domestic and international home-furnishing brands across 13 major categories, attracted over 20,000 visitors, and generated sales of 28 million yuan ($4.05 million).
The expo not only stimulated home-furnishing consumption but also witnessed a rise in "intelligence + quality" purchases, injecting new momentum into Baotou's home-furnishing market.
Highlights of the expo included Haier Casarte's smart range hood, which automatically lowers when the gas stove is ignited and adjusts its height accordingly as cooking intensifies, while Xiaomi's P2 ventilation range hood monitors harmful gases in real-time, enabling dual control of cooking fumes and harmful substances.
DeRUCCI and Huawei's smart AI mattresses support multi-model intelligent adjustment, connectivity to the HarmonyOS ecosystem, and angle adjustment when snoring is detected, generating sleep reports to safeguard healthy sleep.
Wonly Robot's security door products became a hit. Equipped with 24-hour infrared scanning, they capture images and trigger an alarm if continuous abnormal movement is detected.
Li Zhi, a representative of Wonly Robot, who has participated in the expo every year, said, "From the first session, which mainly featured mechanical lock security doors, to the rising demand for robotic security doors, the four expos have witnessed the upgrade of people's consumption needs."
The expo, held at Saikhantal Urban Grassland, allowed attendees to visit both the expo and the grasslands in one trip. A special products exhibition area was also set up at the venue, featuring local delicacies and cultural and creative products.
