The 40th Baotou Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition was held at the Baotou Science and Technology Museum on March 15.

The competition provided teenagers with a platform to showcase scientific and technological achievements, exchange innovative ideas, and compete in practical skills, demonstrating the enthusiasm and creative vitality of Baotou's youth.

The competition consisted of four major categories, receiving nearly 300 entries covering engineering, computer science, life science, physical science, environmental science, and other disciplines. Entries included practical inventions focused on daily study and life, as well as scientific and creative works inspired by China's major national projects, with each work integrating innovation and practicality.

"The competition has been held for 40 sessions, making it one of the most influential youth science and innovation brand events in Baotou," said Zhang Xu, a representative of the Baotou Association for Science and Technology. He added that the association will continue to strengthen science education, build more platforms for "discovery, cultivation, and exhibition", and foster a sound environment for the constant emergence of reserve talent for scientific and technological innovation.
