Standing out among all the various industrial parks across the country, Baotou relies on its unique advantages and solid foundation.

The city's total amount of new energy resources has hit nearly 41.84 million kilowatts while the annual utilization hours of wind power and photovoltaic power have exceeded 3,300 hours and 1,650 hours, respectively. The green hydrogen long-distance pipeline from Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner to Baotou's urban area has also now been completed.

Baotou currently has four 100 percent new energy power transmission channels to the south planned, with a transmission capacity of 16 million kW. This can meet the two-way demand for new energy transmission and green power consumption. Two of the channels have been connected to the grid and the rest are expected to be completed by 2027.

Baotou has also formed a complete rare earth industrial chain, as well as multiple strategic emerging industries, with strong demand for green transformation and development, and has the data foundation required for carbon monitoring and analysis.

With the construction of a zero-carbon park as an important opportunity to achieve green transformation and development, Baotou is moving toward its zero-carbon goal with pragmatic actions, aiming to create a more sustainable and dynamic green future.
