Baotou hosted its 2025 Health and Wellness Tourism Promotion Conference in Damao Banner on July 18, attracting over 40 senior care enterprises from Beijing, Shanghai, and other regions. The event showcased the city's unique advantages for developing grassland-based wellness tourism, combining pristine natural landscapes with traditional Mongolian medicine culture. 

Agreements for five strategic partnerships were signed, including agreements between the Baotou civil affairs bureau and Dalian Kangyang Group Pension Service Co, as well as local wellness centers and tourism operators. "We will introduce Baotou's seniors to nationwide care services while inspiring retirees to come experience Mongolian culture," said Chen Jing, general manager of Shenyang Fengqinkang Health Management Consulting Development Co.

Participants toured flagship projects such as Yaxin Elderly Care Home Co, witnessing Baotou's established network of 825 senior care facilities. The city aims to become a national benchmark for culturally immersive retirement living through its characteristic elderly care service system.
