Baotou Railway Station is expected to receive 2.23 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 2.3 percent, during the 2025 summer travel rush, which lasts 62 days from July 1 until Aug 31.

To cope with peak passenger flow and ensure safety, the station monitors changes in passenger demand. It takes multiple measures to adjust train schedules, optimize passenger services, and implement safety precautions, improving transportation efficiency and enhancing passengers' travel experiences.

Liu Xiangxiu, an engineer at the station, said that during the summer travel rush, the station will adjust its train timetable for the third quarter, with newly introduced trains covering a wider area and offering improved operating times, providing strong guarantees for convenient and comfortable travel.

In response to the sharp increase in study tours, summer camps, and tourist groups, the station has optimized the organization process to ensure the smooth entry of group passengers, offering services such as personnel guidance, green channels, and special waiting areas.

Tickets for newly added trains during the summer travel rush are now on sale. Passengers can inquire about specific train operation information through the 12306 website, APP and station bulletin board to arrange their itinerary.
