Baotou municipal finance bureau allocated 175 million yuan ($24.1 million) in transfer payments on Mar 31 to aid the transition of resource-depleted cities, addressing historical issues such as environmental restoration, public infrastructure, and housing renovation, while promoting sustainable development. 

The bureau emphasized strict management to ensure effective use of the funds, aligning with national policies to accelerate regional transformation.
