Baotou has marked its first successful used vehicle export transaction, with Inner Mongolia Jingli Used Car Trading Market Co shipping heavy tractors to Mongolia via the Erenhot port. The initial 1.6 million yuan ($220,000) order, set for July completion, represents Baotou's inaugural foray into this emerging foreign trade sector. 

Local commerce authorities facilitated the breakthrough by streamlining export procedures for five qualified enterprises, with two more pending approval. Aligning with regional policies to optimize trade structures, Baotou aims to expand participation to 15 firms, targeting 5 million yuan in annual exports.

This milestone establishes new growth channels for the city's automotive industry while diversifying its international trade portfolio.
