Baotou Aluminium has continuously upgraded its desulfurization systems to reduce the impact of electrolytic flue gas, with improved semi-dry desulfurization technology that has significantly boosted efficiency, keeping sulfur dioxide emissions at low levels and ensuring chimneys remain smoke-free. At the same time, upgraded carbon baking flue gas purification systems eliminate dust and odors while deeply treating harmful substances.

Water treatment has also been a priority. By integrating factory sewage networks, constructing rainwater collection pools, and implementing a comprehensive rain-sewage diversion system, the company has achieved zero discharge of industrial wastewater, with all treated water reused.
